Rings: Penelope Ellen Our rings were made by Penelope Ellen. Penelope has done several pieces of beautiful jewellery for my family. I especially wanted Penelope to do my engagement ring and our wedding rings. It all started when Paddy won a diamond on Wheel of Fortune. Andrew and I weren't engaged yet, but I was in the audience yelling "It's for me!". A few months later we did get engaged and Andrew bought the diamond off Paddy for my engagement ring. The diamond was a brilliant cut; exactly what I wanted. I did a fair amount of research (well for me anyway) on the internet to decide on what I wanted my engagement ring to look like. In the end I decided on on a 18ct white gold engagement ring, with the diamond set in a six claw set, and a half round concave band tapering to the setting. Apparently, it's quite an old-fashioned style ring. I prefer to use them term classic. My wedding ring is white gold and has a concave band to match my engagement ring. Andrew's wedding ring is a plain white gold band. I'd printed out a whole range of different wedding bands for Andrew to choose from, including some funky two-toned ones. Of course, he picked the plain one. |
