TD turned 64 last week. Happy Birthday TD! We had our usual shindig at Mum and Dad's house to celebrate.

I made the world's biggest trifle instead of a birthday cake. I double the recipe I have so that it fills the trifle bowl that I own. There is usually heaps left over though. Enough for everyone to take a Tupperware full of trifle home. Next time I should probably just stick to the quantities in the recipe and just half fill the bowl. TD and Leo will be disappointed though. They love my trifle (what's not to love about custard, jelly, cream and cake?)


There is a famous Beatles' song about turning 64. The song has the lyric "grandchildren on your knee; Vera, Chuck and Dave". So here is TD with his grandchildren: Vera, Chuck, Dave and Vera.

Happy Birthday TD! We celebrated TD's birthday yesterday evening with a family dinner. It was TD's birthday, but Oskie was the guest of honour. We had cake because Oskie likes cake and Oskie got to blow out the birthday candles. It's obvious he's still the sole grandchild. Although, I can't really talk, I spoil him just as much as anyone else. Actually, if you look at the photos you can see who features in most of them.

Oskie news:

• Our Oskie is so very clever. He can now count to 10! He lines up his matchbox cars and counts them out loud. We are all very impressed.
  
  
• He loves to be swung upside down. I'll pick him up, swing him around and then put him back down. He'll then say "again?" and the process repeats... over and over again. I'm also trying to teach him to do forward rolls. Although, always when Mum isn't in the room. Annie gets cranky when I jiggle him too much after he eats *G*.
  
  
• Oskie loves drawing and loves it when other people draw pictures for him. I'll draw a train for him, he'll identify it and then ask "two trains?". I then have to draw another train for him. He's very talented if he can recognise anything in my drawings
