We've celebrated a few birthdays in the month of May.

John turned 30 on May 24^th. To celebrate John's birthday we had dinner with John and Leah and Leah's lovely family who were over for a visit. Leah's aunties had a great time making fun of our accent. They thought it quaint and mocked us saying "spayess" = space and "playen" = plane. It was strange to be on the receiving end of the teasing (Must be the Canadian nation getting even for Andrew's ribbing of Sarah's accent). Leah's beautiful nephew Cole was also there. Yay! A baby fix. I don't get many of those in London.

Bek turns 24 on May 24^th. To celebrate Bek's birthday, we went out for drinks at Guanabara on Saturday evening. Andrew and I managed to slip in at 6.50pm and make efficient use of the last 10 minutes of happy hour. We bought four £3 cocktails... a bargain! At 9ish Andrew, Grant and I popped out to have dinner at a nearby Japanese restaurant. After dinner, us oldies headed home and young'un Grant headed back to the nightclub to party on.

Juzzy's birthday is May 28^th. Juzzy gets a bank holiday for his birthday so we're heading south to Penzance for the long weekend. We've already got into the spirit of things with a number of emails sprinkled with the phrases "arrrr me hearties", "ahoy me maties" and "yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum" doing the rounds.
