At Glastonbury, we awoke on Sunday morning to a white out. The entire field was shrouded in mist and visibility was poor. The first games of the morning were interesting to watch. Catching the Frisbee is that much more difficult when it's a white disc flying through a white mist.

The mist had burned off by the time our first game started at 10am. I was a bit disappointed as I'd been looking forward to the new experience of playing ultimate in the mist.

Glastonbury Music Festival is one of England's most famous music festivals. However, it's earned its reputation not for good music, but for mud. Nearly every year, it rains. Maybe it rains the week before or maybe during the music festival. Every year the whole thing turns into one big mud bath.

It is fitting then, that the Glastonbury Ultimate tournament, which we played in on the weekend was also a mud bath. We've had a fair bit of rain recently, so most of the pitches were bogs and running across them was like running in quick sand. The mud made for some very messy games and a lot of laundry.

The Fugazees had a good weekend. We finished 21st at the tournament which is pretty good considering it was an open tournament. We played several teams that were all men. The Fugirlies were often chasing men on the field. Men who were both taller and faster.

The best thing about the tournament was the weather. We had two beautiful sunny days with temperatures in the mid-twenties. We made the most of the sunshine. Between games we relaxed on the sideline, watched ultimate and drank Pimms. It was the perfect way to spend, what will probably be, the last weekend of summer this year.
