" We've been spending a lot of time with the boys since we returned home. Since I don't have a job, I'm the perfect babysitter!
The first photo is from Oscar's Christmas Concert. Oscar's class performed a dance to Stevie Wonder's Higher Ground. The girls wore pink wigs and the boys wore sparkly gold waistcoats and headbands. In most photos Oscar looks like he is concentrating hard but in this one he actually looks like he is enjoying himself. "

"The next week we looked after the boys while Annie was at a Christmas lunch. Even though it was a scorcher of a day (31 degrees) we took the boys down to the park. Luckily there are sunshades over the play equipment at the local park so it wasn't ridiculously hot. After an hour or so at the park we headed across the road for lunch at Bitton. The boys had crepes with strawberry jam for lunch. Not exactly a nutritional lunch but guess who loves Auntie Jessie and Uncle Andrew!"

Sydney: Friday evening - Spring. Sydney: Friday evening - Spring
" It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Here is another ornament from our travels. This one is from the Christmas markets in Vienna, Austria. These markets were the best Christmas markets that we visited on our travels. You can read about our trip to Vienna here. (Wow! That brings back some memories. It was our first mini-break from London.) "

" Happy Birthday Ivan! We celebrated Ivan's 80th birthday with an afternoon tea party and then a family lunch the next day. This photo is of Ivan's birthday cake. The aeroplane is a Sopwith Camel.
It was the weekend of nightmare car trouble though. We drove Mum and Dad's second car down to Goulburn for the party. It was a car that usually only did trips to the shops. What we didn't know that there was a problem with the radiator. So a two hour journey to Goulburn in 30 degree heat probably wasn't the best thing for the car. The car overheated and we were stuck on the side of the Hume Highway. Luckily, Mum and Dad drove past and were able to rescue us. Dad stayed with the car to wait for a tow and Andrew, Mum and I continued on to Goulburn for the party. We drove back to Mittagong that afternoon (2 hours) to pick up Dad. (The car is no more... kaputsky)
The next day Ben, Janet and Isaac were driving to Goulburn for Ivan's birthday lunch and they ran into car trouble. They made it as far as Moss Vale before they could go no further. They missed the birthday lunch and had to make do with hot chips instead. After the lunch Andrew and I drove to Moss Vale (1 hour) to pick them up and deliver them to Goulburn.
So, we had a good weekend hanging out with the Wilsons to celebrate such an important milestone for Ivan. However, I could really have done without the extra 6 hours on the Hume Highway. "

" Project 52 arrives home yay! (Even though technically we've been home for a month already.) This is the view from my Mum and Dad's balcony in Pyrmont. It's Summer in Australia so it often looks like this too. Blue skies and sunshine. I thought it might take a while to re-acclimatise to Australian weather but it hasn't. I'm loving the Australian Summer! "
