I've already blogged about Christmas Day but I'm just going to post a few more highlights.

Here is our traditional and delicious Christmas day breakfast. We have eggs, smoked salmon and caviar (yum!) with a glass of champagne.

Evie enjoyed Christmas breakfast too. Obviously minus the smoked salmon, caviar and champagne. So just eggs on toast really but it still marks the first time she's joined in on our tradition.

Don't the girls look cute in their Santa hats.

And my perfect Christmas Day includes a swim in the ocean. Andrew and I escaped to the beach for a quick swim while Evie hung out with Nan and TD. It was low tide and there was sand bar which made it great for boogie boarding. Leo had a ball.

And I'm still catching up on Christmas posts.

This year was a Christmas at Copacabana year. Complete with Santa on a fire engine.

Santa and his RFS helpers drove around the streets of Copacabana, Christmas music blaring, scattering lollies for children who wait by the roadside. The kids loved it (although this uptight mumma with a sleeping baby thought they could have done a few less circuits. Isn't it funny how I expect the whole world to be quiet so my baby can nap.)

This year we left home made biscuits out for Santa (which was an improvement on the tiny teddies of the last Copa Christmas). Leo decided that milk is the drink of choice for reindeers so they got an enormous bowl filled with milk and some carrots.

We had our traditional ham orientated Christmas Eve dinner. We had the tastiest Christmas ham this year. It was 8kg, heavier than both Audrey and Evie. Richie made some awesome toasties for dinner.

This is my favourite Christmas present this year. I received this family necklace as my present from Evie. (She's not quite up to online shopping so she may have had some help from Mummy and Daddy). I think it's sweet without being overly cheesy.

It was bought from Eclectic Wendy Designs on Etsy. I was impressed with her service as Evie ordered it after the cut off date for Christmas and it still arrived in time.

The lead up to Christmas was so busy that I had to let go of most of the crafting plans that I had made.

I was a bit disappointed. I had pinned lots of ideas in the middle of my uni semester. While uni is on I'm not able to craft. I plan instead and use these plans as motivation to make it through the uni semester. I was going to try to make a handmade present for all of the kiddies. But in the end I realised that my plans were unrealistic and were causing more stress than enjoyment. So I decided that in the future I would make birthday presents and buy Christmas presents. With that decision made I was able to relax.

I did manage to squeeze in this bit of Christmas crafting for the boys. On impulse I bought some Christmas sock monkey fabric when I was Windows shopping during one of Evie's late night feeds. It was really too cute to resist. I used the sock monkey fabric to make the boys some personalised quilted Christmas placemats for Christmas day. They were just the right sized quilt project for me. Not too big for me to stuff up majorly but big enough to let me practise my quilting skills.

A success I think. I'm adding personalised placemats to my list of standard present ideas.

Excuse me while I catch up on some Christmas posts.

To celebrate Christmas with Mothers' Group we had a lovely gathering at Michelle's house. Even though it wasn't the warmest of days, we managed to get out in the backyard and spend some time in the sun (Can you tell that I'm very disappointed about our horrible summer?)

It was a chance to play dress ups for the babies too. (Poor Evie, I love dressing up and I make her participate in my hobby. She doesn't really get a say in it). We had a Santa and several of Santa's helpers.

When you're trying to take a photo of so many babies at once it's hard to get a photo where they are all smiling. I love the photos where they are cracking it though. They are adorable.
