Happy Birthday Ashleigh! Last Saturday evening we celebrated Ashleigh's 25th Birthday with dinner at wagamama and drinks at Cargo Bar (photos). It was the second time in a week (and in my life) that the waiter wrote my order number on my placemat. I was disappointed! I thought it was some funky concept developed Chocolate Buddha... apparently not.

After dinner, at Cargo Bar, we sampled a few of the concoctions off the cocktail menu. For research purposes of course, so we can spread the cocktail good news throughout the world! Our favourite cocktail from the evening was the sexy mo'fo'. I made several unsuccessful attempts at photographing the menu to capture the ingredients of our favourite tipple. In the end, Davina suggested I just pocket the menu and bring it home... so I did! If we ever want to have a Cargo Bar themed cocktail evening, I have the necessary instruction manual (it's a little battered, but it's still good).

Cocktail of the Month The sexy mo'fo' from Cargo Bar is February's cocktail of the month. It is a mix of kiwi and strawberry with seriously pinky vodka, frangelico and strawberry liquer.

Ashleigh is leaving us to live in England for a year. Her farewell party was held on Saturday evening at the Australian Youth in Glebe. All I can really say about the evening is that I had too much to drink (thank you Davina!) and Davina is hillarious when she is drunk. Or maybe she is just hillarious when we're both drunk *grin*. Somehow, I ended the evening with a bag of almost 100 chuppachups. A lifetime supply!

On Friday we celebrated Ashleigh's 23rd Birthday. We started with drinks, nibblies and birthday cake at her house in Pyrmont. We tried to steal the expensive champagne from the grownups but were thwarted and had to settle with the young people's champagne :D. After birthday cake we headed into the city to the Art House bar. I hadn't been to the art house before (well, I had but only for a few seconds to tell people inside that we couldn't get in because Andrew was wearing shorts *grin*). It is in the old school of arts building and they've tried to incorporate an artsy feeling into the new bar. The other girls spent the evening chatting up boys and Sue and I just chatted to each other and drank yummo cocktails. We're getting old :(. Check out the photos from the evening!

Photos from Ashleigh's 22nd Birthday are now up. (Click here). Pre-dinner drinks were at Liz's house and then we headed to Manly for some drinking/dancing fun. We spent some time at the Aqua Lounge where they had these cool FREE slurpee cocktails. We took full advantage of the FREE drinks and slurped down as many Mango, Strawberry, Citrus, Pina Colada, Cranberry, Ocean Breeze cocktails as possible! (well that is everyone except me, lucky designated driver!). As soon as the free drinks were over we left for the Charlton Bar, where Sue picked up a few admirers. Sleazy old men and two very enthusiastic lesbians, way to go Sue! What a catch!
