Little Bay, Battersea

Our last day with Nat (in her Clapham abode) was celebrated with dinner at Little Bay. The restaurant, one of Nat's favourites, is Opera themed. The place is decked out like an Opera House, it reminded me a little of Phantom of the Opera. Diners sit in secluded private "boxes" either on the floor or in the gallery. The decor is decidedly white satin, red velvet and gold decoupage. To top it all off they have an Opera Singer to entertain the guests from 8pm each evening.

Unfortunately, on the evening we visited the Opera Singer had been impeded by delays on London's public transport and had been unable to complete his journey to sing to the suppers. The news was delivered to us by the manager of the restaurant and when Nat jokingly suggested that we could call the Opera Singer and listen to him, the owner took it on board. The Opera Singer was contacted by mobile phone and we were entertained by an aria on speakerphone. Now that's what I call service! (check out the video on Nat's website...put the video up Nat!).
