Last week we took Evie for her first Santa photo. Evie is not a huge fan of strangers so I was a bit worried that she was going to crack it big time.

And really, Santa is more than strange. He wears a velvet suit in the middle of summer and his face is hidden by a beard. Most of the time we tell our kids "don't talk to strangers" and then suddenly at Christmas time we push them to sit on some strange man's lap.

Evie was a bit unsure what was going on and there was no way that she was going to smile. I think she was more wary of the photographers who were waving stuffed toys and ringing bells trying to get her to smile. Her look says "what ARE you doing people?"

Although if she had cried she would be in good company with her Auntie Annie and Cousin Oscar who were both distressed by a visit to see Santa. And all the kids on kidshatesanta.com. So horrible and yet so funny at the same time.
